SCIENTIFIC PROFILE AND SPECIALITY
The oncology unit of the Attikon Hospital faces an average of 1100 young cancer patients (various solid tumors) per year. In addition, it is the reference center for head and neck cancer at the national, European and international level. Clinical and translational research is conducted in the clinic, which participates in numerous international multicenter studies. In terms of translational research, their study focuses on liquid biopsies, the role of human papillomavirus in head and neck cancer squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and the development of a tumor bank of HSCCHN.
